Senior Python Developer (N)

Client Description                  

 Two streaming music platforms have merged to provide the largest library of interactive music content after having worked with thousands of artists. Their music-sharing technology now offers interactive audio and video experience that allows subscribers to stream music, make playlists, and share with other subscribers.

Project Description 

The candidate will work with the group that encodes images and music files pulling data from the new CMS system and interfacing with the API team that will then deliver the video and music to customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand the needs of the client and Implement functional requirements accordingly.

• Help in designing the software.

• Cloud experience required (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• CDN experience a plus experience with Limelight a real plus

• Build back-end features in Python that are efficient.

• Integrate front-end and back-end components into the application.

• Supervise the testing of software and ensure that all the bugs are fixed.

• Develop technical reports for the software.

• Implement designs into code by collaborating with UX/UI designers.

• Train the new recruits and other team members.

• Keep suggesting improvements and ways to enhance the functioning of the software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or other related fields or related experience
• Prior experience in python development.
• Good knowledge of Python frameworks such as Django, CherryPy, etc.
• Good understanding of REST API
• Working Knowledge of SQL and databases Mongo DB a plus
• An insight into AngularJS and JavaScript would be beneficial.
• A keen eye for the functioning of the software.

Addition notes 

Ideally, senior level, cloud experience, NodeJS wouldn't hurt but more focusing on Python. If they've got any experience in media it would be beneficial but not crucial as they can learn on the job.
